Folder What does "B2B or B2C Internal Deadline" mean in the Setting > General and B2B or B2C?

In UrbanSoft, "B2B or B2C Internal Deadline" refers to internal target metrics and buffer timeframes configured under Admin > Setting > General (and applied across B2B/B2C package modules). These settings establish organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and buffer days for tracking supplier response times and sales quote generation speed:

  • Supplier Send B2B Quote (? Day Left): The internal buffer/KPI days required for ground suppliers or wholesalers to submit B2B quotes before client-facing deadlines.

  • Send B2C Quote (? Day Left): The internal target/KPI days for internal sales staff to generate and issue B2C quotations to direct retail buyers.

What Can I Do?

You can establish operational efficiency standards and manage workflow deadlines using the following key functions:

  • Track Internal Team Performance: Monitor quotation progress against system-defined deadline countdowns to maintain operational accountability.

  • B2B Internal Deadline (Business-to-Business): Set an internal target response period (e.g., 5 days) when acting as a supplier responding to a quotation request from another business partner. This helps your team monitor remaining time while allowing the requester to view progress updates on how many days remain.

  • B2C Internal Deadline (Business-to-Consumer): Set an internal target deadline for sending quotations to direct end-buyers. Since retail buyers do not log into UrbanSoft, this due date functions strictly as an internal reminder to keep your team organized and prompt.

Field Definitions & Operational Guidance

1. B2B Internal Deadline

  • Supplier Send B2B Quote (? Day Left): Set the internal buffer/KPI days required for suppliers to submit B2B quotes prior to client deadlines (e.g., "3 Days"). This ensures operations teams receive vendor pricing early enough to review and compile package costs before external client cut-offs.

2. B2C Internal Deadline

  • Send B2C Quote (? Day Left): Set the internal target/KPI days for sales staff to issue B2C quotations to buyers (e.g., "2 Days"). This establishes an internal turnaround benchmark for sales teams to respond to direct customer inquiries promptly.

3. Navigation & System Paths

  • Global Setting Path (Admin > Setting > General): Configures agency-wide default KPI days applied across newly created tour packages and quotation workflows.

  • Package Level Path (B2B or B2C > B2B or B2C Process > B2B Quote or B2C Quote Section): Auto-inherits global KPI defaults, allowing operations or sales managers to adjust specific deadline buffers for customized or time-sensitive tour package requests.

Example

When establishing internal workflow KPIs for a travel agency:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Setting > General and locate the B2B Internal Deadline and B2C Internal Deadline sections.

  2. Set Supplier Send B2B Quote (? Day Left) to "3 Days".

  3. Set Send B2C Quote (? Day Left) to "2 Days".

  4. Click Update to save. When a buyer requests a B2C quote due in 5 days, the sales team's internal KPI alert prompts them to complete and send the quote within 2 days, leaving a safe operational buffer.

Important Notes

  • Configuring internal deadlines creates automated system buffers that help prevent last-minute quote delays, ensuring ground suppliers and sales planners meet external customer expectations.

  • Updating these settings in Admin > Setting > General updates defaults for future tour package quote workflows without modifying active historical quote records.

  • The due dates configured in these settings are primarily for internal progress management and workflow tracking.

  • Under B2B Internal Deadline, the progress indicator is transparently shared so that the requesting business member partner can also view how many days remain for the response.

  • Under B2C Internal Deadline, the deadline is private and only visible internally to your team, as external buyers do not have system access.
