Folder Are there any restrictions or requirements for my "Tour Code and Tour Name" format?

Tour Code and Tour Name format requirements in UrbanSoft refer to the styling rules, character sets, and naming structure applied when creating travel products in your system. UrbanSoft provides full operational flexibility by imposing no strict formatting restrictions on Tour Codes or Tour Names. You are free to establish any naming convention that fits your company's internal standards, including using numbers, alphabetic text, symbols, or local languages.

What Can I Do?

You can design your naming conventions freely using the following options:

  • Use letters, numbers, special characters, or local native languages (e.g., Chinese, Malay, English) for both Tour Codes and Tour Names.

  • Adopt your company's existing internal coding system without needing to change your established naming habits.

  • Structure your codes with helpful identifiers such as destination, duration, or year (e.g., JPN-7D-2026 or 2026-东京7日游).

Example

For example, a company can set a Tour Code as JPN-7D-001 with the Tour Name "7D6N Tokyo & Mt. Fuji Classic Tour", while another company can use local language characters such as 日本-001 and "日本东京富士山7天6夜精选游". Both formats are fully supported by UrbanSoft.

Important Notes

  • There are no fixed character limits, mandatory prefixes, or forced formats required by the system.

  • While any format is allowed, each Tour Code and Tour Name must still remain strictly unique within your database.

  • Consistent formatting across your team is recommended to keep customer-facing PDF itineraries and internal records organized.

  • The Tour Code and Tour Name also form part of the generated PDF filename.
