Will changes made on the "Library" page, affect my existing info？

This question addresses whether modifying master components on the Library page will retroactively alter or overwrite existing information across your system in UrbanSoft. In short, NO, updating, editing, or deleting items in the Library will not affect or change information that has already been saved in your existing tour packages, itineraries, generated quotations or invoice & receipt.

What Can I Do?

• Update Master Library Assets Freely: You can update preset costing surcharge, or terms on the Library page without risking unintended changes to active sales files.

• Apply Updates to Future Creation: Any changes made in the Library will only apply to new tour packages costing or quotations created moving forward.

• Customize Existing Invoice Info Independently: If you want to update an existing invoice with new Library details, you can manually replace or edit the component directly within that specific invoice.

Example

For example, if you edit a hotel and attraction surcharge update details in your Library today, all tour packages costing created yesterday or earlier will retain their original hotel and attraction pricing. Only tour package costing created after the change will pull the updated information from the Library.

Important Notes

• No Retroactive Sync: Editing a master Library template does not retroactively update historical or currently active tour packages costing, quotationsand and invoice & receipt.

• Independent Instance Creation: When a Library item is added to a tour package costing, it becomes an independent copy. Changes to the master Library source will not overwrite this copy.

• Data Safety: This separation ensures that past pricing, invoicing terms, and product descriptions remain historically accurate and protected from accidental global changes.
